Alex Sanchez is a former high-ranking member of MS-13. He turned concerned within the gang within the Nineteen Eighties in Los Angeles and took part in its enlargement.
Sanchez was deported to El Salvador in 1994 together with 4,000 different Salvadorans. There, he started to recruit younger members into the gang. He was concerned in robberies, avenue fights, and carjackings, and he survived being shot 4 instances. Sanchez determined to depart MS-13 within the mid-Nineties. He’s now the manager director of Homies Unidos and is a violence-prevention employee and skilled on gang tradition.
He speaks with Enterprise Insider concerning the Los Angeles Police Division, tattooing, guidelines and codes, media notion, and the political language used to depict the gang, reminiscent of Donald Trump’s feedback in 2018. Sanchez’s story is profiled within the books “MS-13: The Making of America’s Most Infamous Gang” and “Unforgetting: A Memoir of Household, Migration, Gangs, and Revolution within the Americas.”
