Sen. Peter Welch, a Vermont Democrat, known as on President Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 election in a Wednesday Washington Submit op-ed, turning into the primary Senate Democrat to publicly urge Biden to finish his reelection marketing campaign.
Welch cited Biden’s “disastrous debate efficiency” and the “legitimate questions” folks have in regards to the president’s health for workplace at 81 years outdated.
“I perceive why President Biden desires to run. He saved us from Donald Trump as soon as and needs to do it once more,” Welch wrote. “However he must reassess whether or not he’s the perfect candidate to take action. In my opinion, he’s not.”
