NBC affiliate WXII-TV reported that Charlie Lentz has been going to his native Bonjangles in Winston-Salem, about 80 miles north of Charlotte, after church for many years. The restaurant opened in 1994.

Lentz’s family and friends gathered on the restaurant on Sunday as a shock to have fun his birthday at an occasion deliberate by Bojangles.
