Malware assault disguises itself as DeepSeek installer • Graham Cluley


Cybercriminals are exploiting the rising curiosity in open supply AI fashions by disguising malware as a official installer for DeepSeek.

Victims are unwittingly downloading the “BrowserVenom” malware designed to steal saved credentials, session cookies, and so forth and achieve entry to cryptocurrency wallets.

How are the unhealthy guys spreading the malware? By shopping for Google advertisements… sigh… which level to a pretend DeepSeek obtain web page.

Google says it has suspended the advertiser’s account. Little question the cybercriminals gained’t… oh, i don’t know… simply create one other account and check out once more, maybe?

I believe it could be higher if the entire world ignored all Google advertisements, or.. hey.. maybe ditched Google altogether.
