The Federal Aviation Administration introduced Wednesday that it’s investigating Boeing’s manufacturing practices and manufacturing traces.
It consists of processes involving Spirit AeroSystems, the Kansas-based firm that builds the fuselages and different elements of Boeing planes.
The FAA mentioned its investigation can also be “inspecting potential system change.”
All 171 Boeing 737 Max 9 jets with a door plug have been grounded by the company following the Alaska Airways Flight 1282 incident.
“The protection of the flying public, not velocity, will decide the timeline for returning these plane to service,” the FAA added.
