Multipurpose frigates

The Languedoc and the Alsace are each multipurpose frigates a part of the FREMM household of warships.
Below the FREMM initiative, or “European multi-purpose frigate” undertaking, the ships have been developed by France and Italy. This led to the brand new era of surface-combatant ships identified in France because the Aquitaine class and in Italy because the Bergamini class.
